Hi All

Been a while since I posted on here.

I have just acquired a Dellorto VHB 29A (D) for my Ducati 350 Sebring. After fitting it, she fired up second kick on the choke....let her warm up and knock choke off she cuts out....won't start at all....Choke back on starts first kick no problem...Choke off cuts out and will not start.

Needle fitted V13
Main Jet looks like 105 or 108 can't make it out.
Idle jet 50
slide 40
needle position 2
Needle jet 265M

She has a high compression piston with over sized valves and a Conti Exhaust

Can someone please point me in the right direction If I have something incorrect?? Which I would seem to have!

Regards Dave

When you start the bike do you have the throttle open at all?

Edit: per Mick Walker the 350 with the vhb uses a 40 pilot jet.

I usually use a 1/8 - 1/4 throttle but all my bikes use either SS1 or phm carbs. Give it a try. I'd check that the pilot circuit if clear and maybe drop down to a 40 jet and see what happens.

She's ALIVE!!!

Rookies mistake....The pilot screw was a long way out...I felt resistance and thinking it was on its seat..then back turned one and a quarter, which made more like four and a quarter.

Thanks for your help... :)
