I think in a recent post (last few months) we established that all the necessary components (tach, tach mounting bracket, cable and tach drive bevel cover) are available, although perhaps not all from the same vendor and not altogether inexpensive either!

Yes, I started the thread below regarding adding a tach to my 68 Monza. Like Jim said, it wasn't cheap but I'm happy with the way it turned out. If you have any questions I'll be happy to help.

Hello Halfpast,

thank you for answer,
i want mount an original veglia tacho - because my diana should look like a Diana Mark3 fourspeed from 1962.
With the little pillbox headlight and the little rear light, small tyres...
It is very hard to find good parts - i have after 5 year ebay membership nearly 90%.
The engine is overhauled by a german specialist but i forgot to give him the tacho drive and now i must mount the drive alone.
I was not shure if the camshaft has the slot for the coupling but Jim says every cam should have this.
Will see next days ...

This is the end of my camshaft - it has no slot for a tacho drive.

Perhaps a special nut, with a tang added could be made? I had an AJS engine that was so modified.
Or, remove the camshaft to machine a slot.

Hello Jordan,

do you has a picture from this modification?
I think this i not possible - then is the tacho drive to long.

Something like this nut: http://www.tri-corengland.com/acatalog/ ... _3685.html
- if you can find space for it.
A shortened coupling piece?
