I need help with a good carb/manifold set up. '64 Monza frame, '64ish scrambler motor. No carb or manifold on the motor when I bought it. Mikuni ? What size? Thanks to all.

For a 250 engine - a Mikuni VM 26 would work. Stock jetting to start .
Don't know about a manifold. Make one? TomA

Amal carbs need no manifold, just an insulating spacer.
Studs on the head are spaced so the carb can be directly attached.
Spanish Ducatis used them.

If that's your bike, suggest you lose the bolts, and install studs in the head, with nuts to retain the carb.
It's more likely than studs to cause problems, and looks wrong.
You can space the carb from the head to your liking (assuming you can get the spacer), and figure out the length of the needed studs.

Might be hard to see, but those are studs .

Sorry, thought it looks like a bolt head with a Torx socket in it - I've seen those.

No problem. Someone may have cut them off a bit?? Bought the motor in a box. Then bought a roller. Just trying to piece it together. Fun stuff. The carb is a 627 Amal 2 stroke. Just wanted to see if it would fit. I will find a right hand 626 and give it a try.
