160 cam bearing

Hey folks,

Was hoping someone could tell me if this is the right bearing to replace the current bearing in my 160 single head? (I accidentally had the machine shop blast it with the bearing still in the head).

Found on ebay:

I know it states for a rear sprocket, but it came up in a search for a cam bearing and it looks right...wasn't sure if the bearing was used in multiple parts of the engine.

Also wanted to know if this one from Lacey Ducati will fit - it says single, but not specifically for a 160.

Does replacing this bearing require a special puller? Are there any US sources so I can avoid the heavy shipping costs?

Thanks!

-Matt

Hi Matt

bearing is a 6202 bearing , dirt cheap .

to replace you have to remove the snapring on the outside and tap the bearing out from the inside .

Eldert,

Thanks so much! Most of the ones I find online have the little plastic cover in it - those can just be removed right?

Also, on an unrelated note, I got your sign in sorted out for my new forum. You should be good!

I compiled what I think is a correct list of bearings for the 160, that I pulled from a parts list. Perhaps Eldert or others could validate my information is correct.
