Suggestions for jetting a 32 mm PHF on Mach1

Postby bikester250 » Tue Aug 19, 2014 1:53 pm

I have an early Mach 1 that was raced on the east coast in the mid 60's. It has a "hot" cam (unknown parentage-given to me by Frank Calder who was the original owner/racer) and I run a SuperTrapp exhaust.
Trying to get it to idle a bit with a 32 mm pumper Dellorto. Maybe that's an impossible task but I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience with this carb on a single and what jets they use.
I know it's a fairly big carb but 500 Pantah twins ran 36 mm and Phil Schilling of Cycle sent me a note back in the 70's that encouraged me to try the 32.

Unless someone has some direct experience with what you need, this might help.
