you will find it very difficult to get to exactly TDC by using the kick starter. put the bike in high gear, rotate the rear wheel or depending on how you have your degree wheel bolted to the crank use a wrench on the bolt and rotate the crank directly.

____ Indeed so ! _ Next to impossible even.

" put the bike in high gear, rotate the rear wheel "

____ There's certainly a better chance that way, but the trans has too much slop to make that method very easy to adjust for dialing-in to TDC !

" depending on how you have your degree wheel bolted to the crank
use a wrench on the bolt and rotate the crank directly. "

____ That's still better yet, however an ordinary "wrench" doesn't hold the bolt-head tightly enough, so rather use a 'vice-grip' to grab & hold the bolt. _ Or best-of-all, if ya have the degree-wheel secured adequately, then simply use IT to turn & adjust the crankshaft & TDC.position !

And here's a link to an included post with quite useful degree-wheel mounting info...

PLEASE NOTE... If this-post is not-yet signed-off with '-Bob', then I'm still in the process of completing it,, and if not also included with 'DCT' near bottom as well, then I may edit this post's wording at a later time. - Dct.Bob
