Made in Italy decals

Does anyone know the correct years that the gold "Made in Italy" tank decals were used and when Ducati started using the Yellow ones? I was under the assumption that the yellow ones were only used on the twins from 1972 and the gold ones were used on all singles. Were the yellow ones ever used on any singles? Any info would be appreciated, especially for narrow case bikes.
