Crank Case Breather

Postby amartina75 » Fri May 30, 2014 10:49 pm

I've been thinking about what can be used to eliminate the long breather tube for awhile now. I'm wondering what others have used or tried, and is there any reason not to do what I'm thinking about doing. I bought a breather tube fitting for an Aermacchi Sprint and it has the same thread as the Ducati ones do. I haven't taken it apart yet but it looks like all it has inside is a sort of baffle. I am thinking about stripping out the inside and putting a PCV valve in it. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks, Aaron

XS650 yam reed valves are cheap and easy to fit.
Can't post a picture at present but I bought one for a 450 and it works well.
Jim's XS is where I bought it in the US.
Cheap radiator hose, valve, then hose away.
