Turning a 250 basket case into a track bike.

Hi to all and I'm new to Motoscrubs.
I race a Yamaha SR500 in pre 82 at our local club and was very pleased to acquire a 250 MK3 Ducati recently. It is a basket case but all major parts seem to be there. Been sitting in garage for 23 years. It will be turned into a track bike and hopefully fit into the Pre 63 class although the motor was built in 1964.
I've built a few frames so the starting point is to copy the exiting frame with lighter materials. (I also don't want to cut up a perfectly original frame) The existing frame with swing arm and triple clamps weigh in at 20KG, from experience, I should be able to get this around 12-13kg and with mount points for foot pegs and fairings included.
The head is a bit hammered so it needs a bit of weld here and there and new valve seats.
The rest of the motor looks fine.
