Oil line restoration

Postby Teckhardt » Wed Mar 31, 2010 1:10 am

Is the oil line on the bevel tube supposed to be chrome? Mine is tarnished - think the chrome is long gone.

Any way to "refinish" it short of re-chroming? Any source for NOS or repro part?

" Is the oil line on the bevel tube supposed to be chrome? "

____ While I've seen some chromed units on a few DUKEs, never on stock models.
I think most are 1/8th copper-pipe that's zink/cadmium-plated.

Tried polishing it but don't think there was any finish left to polish. It just became shiny black. :)

I ended up getting a good used one from Domiracer.
