Carburetor Central

So, I have number of parts coming from England (Dellorto UK aka Eurocarb) to spruce up the Monza's original carb and complete the spare. Easy enough.

Then, I've got a spare set of Mikuni carbs for my M900 that I want to set up the way they should've been from new and install before the weather finally breaks. To do this I've got bits coming from Thailand (Viton gasket set), California (needle jets and jet kit), and Connecticut (float needles).

Believe it or not, going this intercontinental route saved me about $50 and cost no more time than sourcing it all here. Add to that the fact that I couldn't find a few items here. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be (happily) busy.

original carb all set. set up in stock form. the spare I thought would be ready is now held up by the fact that 1) I didn't realize I needed the choke slide's spring and 2) wouldn't you know it, barely snugging the jam nut on the slide stop was all that was needed to nearly pull the threads out of the carb body. can't tighten it enough for road use so, I guess it's now Heli-Coil time.

I recently rebuilt my SS1 27D on my Scrambler. Anyone know what notch on the slide needle is stock or recommended?

It's a '66 250 bored out with a 350 piston.
