I have a motorcycle saddle for which I desire a 90 to 100 point restoration. I don't want it recovered.

I have quite literally hundreds of hours into the search for this seat, and I am likely never to find another. That does not include the actual hard monetary expense associated with buying and getting the seat to me.

I've heard of the company, but never had any dealing with him, I've been meaning to go find him anyway.
Don't know if he will be open Saturday, we'll see

Yes Matt, Italian but not a Ducati. I joined the "dark side" when I was offered an early 70s MV Agusta.

I did find a pretty bad review of these people on another forum, I think it was a vintage Japanese motorcycle forum.

I am tending to think of avoiding this company. I might feel different if I lived close enough to A) check it out and meet them in person, and B) if I could check in on them often.

I have used Eldorado and was greatly satisfied, but I would have to eat the cost of shipping to and from Oz and the shipping delays too.

Tough decision...

Jim, there's an excellent little fresh fish resteraunt on the st. Pete beach that I think I need to go visit as well!

JIm, Since they are in St. Petersburg maybe Malcolme has delt with them and could tell you.
also maybe you could find someone local to you that does high end auto upholstery.
nothing to do with a motorcycle seat should be THAT difficult really for someone that has good experience.
I dont have a problem paying someone to do something for me as long as i know they have been doing it a LONG time
and have the experience, like Ross Thompson with motorcycle tanks

I did call both Malcolme and Lambrechts; Malcolme did not even know of the guy, and Lambrechts had met him by chance at a motorcycle event but know nothing of his work.

By the way, I expect to ship you fender this coming week.

Nothing much to report on Cool Retro Bikes,
I went to the address from their website, and 6822 22nd ave N. is the address of a UPS store. Inside the store is P.O. boxes, one of whis is #220 (as in his suite number...).
My guess is he works from home and uses the UPS for shipping.
Not what I expected to see there, obviously not the place I had heard of.
Sorry, doesn't help you out much...

The gulf snapper for lunch was excellent, though. Just a nasty ole winter day at the St. Pete beach, foggy across the water, and the temperature down to 58 degrees.

Having a buffer address like that does not instill confidence in me.

I understand the garage theory, but if I had to pay a call on some business to pick up or check on my irreplacable parts, I would be distressed to arrive at a UPS store.

That address had a familar ring to it too, like I had shipped something there from my business before in the past.

I tried to contact Tony O'Connor at Eldorado via email but have heard nothing back.
