Telesco front fork repair (Scrambler 1974 Ducati Mototrans)

Postby Rocla » Thu Nov 28, 2013 3:50 pm

Hello everybody,

From a previous topic, I've got many pieces of information for renowing a Telesco front fork for my Scrambler 350 1974 (Ducati Mototrans). Here below the very specific answer from Jon Pegler. Does somebody have a picture or a drawing of these nylon or teflon parts? It may enable me to rebuilt them...
Many thanks!

Jon Pegler wrote:Some of the Telesco forks have a Teflon or nylon bush around the bottom bearing in the forks, affixed to the bottom of the stanchions.
These nylon bushes have to be stretched over the bearing to be fitted.
Size of nylon bush is 37mm outside diametre, 36.25 inside diametre, 14mm wide.
There is also a small ring, a bit like a piston ring, fitted at the bottom of the stanchion.
Size of ring is 37mm outside diametre, 35.5mm inside diametre, 2mm thick.

Jon
