Hi All, I'm after a full electronic ignition kit with new generator for my 350 widecase. What options are out there?
I was looking at the Hpi/Electrix world STK-164 but it's currently being revamped so availability is unknown.
Powerdynamo do a nice kit buts it's expensive.
I don't have any electrics or components as my bike was a complete basket case rebuild so what ever kit I get I'll be doing the wiring around, hence wanting a full system.
What ignition

Re: What ignition
Hey
IF you are not under timepressure I can offer a Sachse ignition.
Best for race also for street bikes and simple to install.
The ignition has many options:different ignition parameters, funktion testmodus + interface for a rev counter, rev limiter for engine safety.
We working to overtake the business and restart the shop beginning of next year.
best regards
HP 59

Have you checked with Nigel Lacey? Whatever he sells would be my first-line choice ...

Sad news: Volker Sachse (CEO and owner) was trgically killed in a motorcycle accident in summer. His family is not able to continue his business, so tries to consign/sell the company. The webpage is presently inactive, putting off customers.
cheers Hans

Eldert ("Hi, Eldert ... ") posted this to Bevelheads yesterday:
"A German Ducati single racer, Horst Patzner, is also part of the Sachse resurrection, so the Ducati ignitions are going to be made again too. Production should start early next year."

Re: What ignition
I got Horst last name wrong , that should be patzer or HP59 on this forum
there was also talk that a Austalian Laverda guy had something to with the Laverda Sachse ignitions
do you have more info Horst ?
people dont mind waiting a little for the ignitions as long as they know they are going to be made again

Re: What ignition
Yes that's the ignition for singles
Easy to set up and very reliable
Red is the Laverda man in Brisbane, his email redax@squirrel.com.au
Graeme
Ps, Red doesn't have any more singles ignition at present.

Re: What ignition
I might order one from that website then, but I still would require a generator kit

Re: What ignition
I had a widecase 450 that I put a Lucas RITA on. I can't recall where I found and bought the Lucas RITA from but it worked well.
The Lucas RIta did require an extended points cover that that came with it to enclose the "reluctor" which was the electronic sensor that replaced the points.
The Lucas RITA required 12-volts and so that was an addtional expense as well.
