Hi Kittay

you should put some padding on the seat and then see how the differend tanks look

nice find BTW

Personally I like the silver tank, because it's different. I also like the silver and red. When mounted it will be a bit higher and should match a padded seat. The black tank looks Vic camp/factory race like, but every one and there dogs got a bike that looks like that! I thought the idea of a special was to be different :-)

I'm torn between the two..
The downside of the black one is that it is fiberglass. I was really wanting to use my newly acquired metal wing badges

Agree, but even if it was rare, I just don't think it's a very elegant shape.

At first I liked the black tank with the black tail piece.

But as I look at the rear slope of the metal tank and the rear slope of the bumstop they very much match each other. So to my thinking if they were both the same color it would likely be a great combination.

I too would be worried about a fiberglass tank - it seems to me that everyone I know goes to great lengths to treat the inside walls and eventually they still soften and warp, wrecking the paint and potentially leaking.

The glass tank says "I'm a race Ducati",
The steel tank is from a container full of leftover tanks that hit the market here in the US a few years ago, and says "I'm a Benelli Mojave tank on a Ducati", Google Benelli Mojave tank and see dime a dozen.

You will have problems with the glass tank if you put ethanol in it. You can run non-ethanol race gas safely.
