Telesco front fork service for Ducati Mototrans 350 SCR 1974

Postby Rocla » Fri Nov 08, 2013 2:29 pm

Does somebody knows the dimensions of the parts (probably made of Teflon) inside the fork? I've found at last the seals (that you can see on the picture) but when I brake, there is shimming inside the fork, and it is not only a seal issue... Who knows the dimensions of these parts inside? It seems impossible to find new ones (I've tried on many Spanish websites thank to a Spanish friend of mine but with no result), so may be, it is possible to rebuilt them?

Some of the Telesco forks have a Teflon or nylon bush around the bottom bearing in the forks, affixed to the bottom of the stanchions.
These nylon bushes have to be stretched over the bearing to be fitted.
Size of nylon bush is 37mm outside diametre, 36.25 inside diametre, 14mm wide.
There is also a small ring, a bit like a piston ring, fitted at the bottom of the stanchion.
Size of ring is 37mm outside diametre, 35.5mm inside diametre, 2mm thick.

Hello Jon,

Thank you so much for these pieces of information. If you know where to get such parts, tell me, of course...

Best regards

You could try Keith Lynas at Ossaplanet http://www.ossaplanet.com/ He was able to help with seals for my Telesco shocks.

Unfortunately, Ossa Planet answered me, they don't have such parts, only for OSSA front forks... Telesco was a famous brand with outlets on Spain, UK, France (even for Motobecane bikes), and USA, it is amazing not to find repair kits! I am sure it exists somewhere... :ugeek:
