250 Tyres

Postby hoylie » Mon Sep 23, 2013 4:12 pm

Hi

I managed to get my hands on a 250 Scrambler from John at 'Made in Italy' the only thing I don't like is the tyres, they are some modern Conti tyres and don't really suit the bike. Can anyone tell me what tyre the bikes came with from the Factory or what you may have fitted. I would really like some with a bit more tread on.

Cheers

unless your bike is an early scrambler or motocross, and it has a 19" rear i believe it would have come with Pirelli MT53 3.5x19 front and 4.0x18 rear
Duro makes a copy of those tires http://www.cedarrapidstire.com/category/10101/hf308-duro-motorcycle-tires

A very similar tire to those and What I have on both my scramblers is the Dunlop K70, 3.5x19 front and 4.0x18 rear

the Dunlop is probably a better tire then the Duro
