The bike owned by Doug's father John, is the result of many years of constant development. John is one of my longest standing customers, for whom I have built engines and worked with on ideas over many years. The engine and bike feature many special parts developed by John including a six speed gearbox and the slippery fairing. The bike is fitted with a Desmo head built, modified and tuned by myself a few years ago.
In a race filled with modern replica bikes with top TT riders, a stunning performance on a humble Sebring based race bike. The bike features all original castings, crank, rear hub and frame, so in my mind Doug can also claim the first "classic" bike home.
Admittedly helped by the appalling rate of attrition from the brand new "modern classics" unable to make it round the 150mile 4 lap race.

You may note the average speed of 98.075mph over the 150 mile race, those who know the TT circuit will even more appreciate this performance.
Doug unlike some of the hired hands, is back in the garage now preparing the bike himself for the 350 Race on Monday!
