A good friend has a Condor that he rides regularly, consequently, normal wear requires new brake linings. Does anyone here know where to source these?

Vintage Brake could put new linings on the old shoes. They use modern brake shoe materials to get optimum performance. If the customer is willing to send the wheel I believe they will 'arc' the shoes to the hub.

I think the hub has to be laced to the rim for arcing so that the hub's shape will not distort from the derived arc if laced after the arcing procedure.

if i were you i wouldn't pay more then 30 or 40 dollars to get a set of shoes relined. check around locally where you are, there should be somewhere that does it.
ask your local autoparts store if they know of a place. forklifts, golf carts, cars, trucks, industrial machines, all need shoes relined. don't worry about finding a "motorcycle shop"
to do it, they will just send it out and charge you double what they pay.

look at this for comparison to Vintage Brake http://www.speedandsport.com/index.php/parts/brakes/brake-shoe-relining/
