I am just finishing off my 1975 Mark 3 rebuild and it doesnt want to run off choke, i am assuming the carb was jetted to run with an air filter and i am running it with a velocity stack. Its a VHB29.
is the correct jetting to move the main up from 110 to 120 and change pilot from 40 to 50.
assuming emulsion tube is std at 265m is a change to 260 making it richer or leaner.
i search the forum but could find what i was looking for so apologies if it has come up before.
thanks for any help Ian.

VHB settings are not known by me and are likely to be different from the SSI which is on my bike. The 260 needle jet is weaker than the 265 however i was told that most 250's benefit from the change to a 260. The 260 supplied to me has no cross drilling , and i cannot say what effect this has. I doubt the needle jet is your problem but i would check it for wear with a tapered guage and micrometer.
