on an Website in Germany i had find an offer from a old 250 ccm flat track racer.
It should base on a Diana and has frame stampings in the head stock Guagenti moto.
The seller means the bike was build from Pat Guagenti.

If this Ducati was imported from the USA as stated in the advertisement, it could be a 1966 Mk3 based on what’s left of the original machine. The gas tank, carburetor and megaphone, Grimeca hubs are all consistent with a Mk3. Do you know the engine number as well? That would also be valuable information. The forks are not Ceriani but appear to be standard Ducati. However the top clamp looks like it’s from a 175/200 so the forks may be as well. Curious that there are no external fork springs installed on the forks. Perhaps converted to internal springs? This is not a flat track racer, it is a roadracer, although the seat is of the type used on flat trackers. If it is a Mk3, that would make it a valuable model and the Borrani rims are certainly a desirable feature. Many of the arts that make a Mk3 valuable have been removed and considering the condition, $6000 would be quite high unless there was some sort of documented race history. Average condition Mk3’s in the USA have sold recently for around $4500-$5000 and these are complete, fairly original, running street bikes. A tired race bike such as that being considered here would be valued even lower. That being said, the market in the USA is different than other parts of the world; Mk3’s were sold in greater numbers in the USA than elsewhere and the rarity of a Mk3 in Germany may command such a price. You should get some market values in the EU to make a fair assessment of value. Matt
