correct spark plug for a 1966 Ducati Monza?

Postby Chuck » Wed Sep 19, 2012 7:44 pm

What is the correct spark plug for a 1966 Ducati Monza? I have been using an NGK B7HS (or B8HS) with a gap of .026 to .028. Is this correct?

____ Yes, your stated info seems to have come from a good source.
However the 'B8HS' would be apt to become fouled if the engine is not constantly ran hard.
And conversely, if you baby your motor (and thus keep the engine running on the cool side), then I'd suggest a 'BP6HS' s.plug, (as the hotter heat-range will keep the plug-nose clean enough to then trust a larger gap [of .029 - .032"] ).

PLEASE NOTE... If this-post is not-yet signed-off with '-Bob', then I'm still in the process of completing it,, and if not also included with 'DCT' near bottom as well, then I may edit this post's wording at a later time. - Dct.Bob
