ID Plate info

Postby ftripodi » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:54 am

Hi all,
It's been some time since I have posted but have been busy getting the scrambler ready for registration and ironing out the bugs.

Well it's finally time for ergo inspection and I need the last piece of the puzzle.. The ID plate details.

Can anyone assist with an image of the correct ID plate details for a 1966 250 scrambler so I can stamp the correct details to satisfy the registration requirements.

Thanks
Frank

This is from the Bevelhead Mail List:

I have a 1966 Scrambler and I also have a replacement headstock tag
to put on it. I do not, however, know what some of the info is. If
anyone can tell me what to put after tipo del veicolo (vehicle
type); Peso kg. (weight kilo); and Carico utile leg. kg (payload
weight) I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Here is what should be stamped on the tag:

TIPO DEL 250 SCR (space between 250 and SCR)

VEICOLO

ANNO DI 196 (They never stamped the last digit of the
year, so that the dealer could sell the bike as any model year)
COSTRUZ

No MOTORE The number that is stamped into your engine cases on
the right case half in front of the cylinder.

No TELAIO The same number as above

PESO Kg 120

CARICO
UTILE LEG. Kg. 150

CILINDR.cm.3 250
