Will a Scrambler tank from a late '60s wide case frame Scrambler fit on an earlier bike with a narrowcast frame? There's a tank on eBay I'm interested in for my '64 Monza Cafe project but I want to make sure it will work before I bid. Thanks for any info.

____ I believe that most-ALL (at least from 1960 to 1970) stock Ducati-model fuel-tanks can be swap fitted to all Duke-models regardless of whether originally w-c or n-c.
Only thing is the location of the rear-tab on the frame intended for the rear spring-mount, which can be an obstacle in the case of mounting longer tanks on frame-models originally fitted with a shorter tank, (which is not a big problem to deal with).
__ Since the w-c Scr.tank is about the same length as the shortest versions, it should be as easy as any to fit to any other Duke-model, (in-fact I-myself have once fitted that w-c.tank to a n-c.Monza, without any issues).
____ In some tank-swap cases, for rear-mounting,, a suitably sized vacuum-cleaner hose-band can be useful for replacing the stock spring tie-down setup. _ Along with a #8 or 2.5mm screw (about 1.5" in length), the rubber-loop mounting-method allows for securing-down the rear-end of the tank (to the frame-tube) at points other than the originally intended location (of the spring-tab).
____ I used to enjoy swapping various parts amongst different Duke-models, so have a fair amount of experience with such.
Fun-Cheers,
