Hi John, my remote has the circular rubber lined clamp and flat plate ready to be drilled for mounting and a filter at the top. We have a friend in common --Gary the Triton builder.

Another remote float in Italy. Not sure what it fits, but the price is cheap.

<Well....not that I care, or think it matters, or think its worth posting about or replying too for that matter....but... It is most peoples view that a fuel bowl would be considered "remote" from a carb. not vice versa, and fyi the carb is known as an SS1 and was a precursor to the fuel bowl... furthermore as its been pointed out, the ss1-30d carb which I have, came with an ss2 fuel bowl... Which makes my posting title 100% accurate, of course this is all just for the record...

I don't mind that you don't care. You're wrong about the carb being an SS1 though - it's an SSI (as in i).
But you're right - these tiny points only matter if they matter, and sometime they might.

I attatch for interest a photo of the 125 which is basically original with 2 piece alloy fairing as I found it last Xmas lurking in a back room of a house about 2 miles away from where I live. It was aparently one of the Ducati team bikes sent over for the 1958 TT.

Thanks John, and Eldert for the pics of these rare Duke singles, You don't see many pics of these around, especially not up close. Its good to know someone cares about the point of this site... Unlike others who lurk and read threads and have NOTHING to add to a thread so instead post CRAP replies pointing out spelling and grammatical errors... I am not an english major, but apparently Jordan is, it must be hard having so much free time on your hands to have nothing better to do then correct peoples typographical errors... I have to go, my garage is calling, I have motorcycles to work on, I felt the need to post a reply so Jordan (OUR OFFICIAL PROOFREADER) would have something to do today. Since he has nothing else to add to this thread, this is a way for him to feel "IMPORTANT" I love people that stand around listening to a conversation, and have NOTHING to add, so they feel the need to correct someones english just to feel INCLUDED... oh fyi, a lot of people that frequent this site dont even speak english, and use translator software...so proofreading this site would probably be a full time job.

BOB, CAN YOU PLEASE CHANGE THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD FOR ME SINCE I MISSPELLED THE TITLE ? THIS WOULD MAKE JORDAN'S LIFE COMPLETE IF YOU COULD PLEASE DO US THIS ONE FAVOR, THANK YOU.

I think if you edit your first post in the thread, you can edit the 'subject' and that will change the 'title'. It won't change the rest of the subsequent post 'subjects' though.

Sorry for adding to the off-topic-ness... ;)

Its a very small world !!

My 125 seems comfortable with a 27mm carb but I know they were run with carbs from 22.5 up to 29m depending on the circuit.
I did have a 175 F3 which had a 22.5 and I think that was the maximum size allowed in the F3 races in Italy.

What a nice piece of work to fit a twin cam cambox on a 125 .Lovely to see . John

Hello Jim The float chamber is not remote but fixed to the carb and looks like an 18 mm side fixing type as fitted to (say) Itom 50.
