I just went downstairs to take a look at this. I may have made a thin spacer to center the front wheel but it's a stock axle.

I'd like to work on this thing again but other projects have taken priority. For now it's stuffed in a corner with my other project bevel. Someday...

I'm BAAAAAAaaaaack....

It looks like it's been about 5 years since I posted on this thread, and a little longer since I've worked on this thing. Time for an update - I'm not thinking about selling it anymore and it's still patiently awaiting it's day in the sun.

As you can probably see, I've gone backwards on it. I had yet another single cylinder project sneak in and that one reached a point where I started pulling parts from this for it. I had sworn I wouldn't do that, but here we are.

Anywhos... I pulled it out of the corner yesterday and started gathering parts to remind myself where I am on it and what I need to make progress again. It's still not going to be my top priority project but if I'm ordering parts for the main project I may as well sneak a few in for this too, right?

Here's what the bike looks like now. That's not even the right front wheel.

And here's the massive progress I've made recently. In the time since I last posted I've gotten into 3D printing, so yesterday I made an adapter ring for the headlight. The trim ring(s) I have aren't a great fit with the shell I have, so I made up a simple ring to make everything fit better.

Yeah you can hardly see it, but that's kind of the point. It needs a touch more work but for a first shot it's great. The final version fit better and will be printed out of a softer material.

And that's it's re-intro. I suspect it's still a couple years from being ridden but I have to start somewhere. It's been at least 15 years in the making so what's the rush!

After dealing with new tubes that came with factory installed tears in them, it's finally a roller again

Thinking about the electrics led to printing a fake battery. I can get a roll of filament for less than what one of these cost so why not? It's not done yet, a few of the parts need to be smoothed. The yellow is a paint pen, it's not worth buying a roll of yellow filament just for that.

I know that up close it's kind of rough but using the old "from 20 feet at 20mph" standard it'll look fine. It's made out of five parts, the top and bottom sections will be smoothed, the center can be used as printed.
