That's a nice roundup of paint vs powder, thanks.
It leaves out the crucial point though - powder coat's long term durability, which leaves a lot to be desired! Its tendency to promote severe rusting under the skin through any breach of the coating is the killer for me.

It's gunna get painted. Would have been by now if I hadn't had second thoughts. (now where's that (professional spray painter) bloke's phone number who was going to do it cheap?) Thanks for everyone's input and opinions. I appreciate that it's "strokes for folks" and "horses for courses" but for me the Pro paint lobby has won the day......this time!

Will post a pic when it's done.
