Hi 3564cam, What would be helpfull would be a needle spec so that i could check mine, I have seen this info for later carbs, the only issue i have now is after running in traffic or downhill on the overrun the plug soots up a little and the motor does not always pick up , If i weaken off the idle then spitbacks and stalls follow.Reading through road tests from the 1960's this was common.I'm running a 60 slide ,may try an 80.

Hi Bob,
I will measure the needle for you as best I can.Have you tried different spark plugs to cure your problem?I fitted hotter plugs into one of my old cars that sooted in traffic and it fixed it.Or maybe a little more advance on the ignition perhaps, might clean the plug off.
