I think you can build a trick short stroke 350 single.... by using a 250 crank in a 450 bottom end and using a shortened 450 barrel ?????????

Yes, I think that John Witt -mann pioneered this, although I don't think that it was any better than the standard 350. I just can't see how the Ducati head can flow enough gas to make a high revving short stroke engine viable, maybe Nigel can comment.

And as well, you have to oen the bore in the case in order to fit the outer dia. of 350 cylinder liner.
If you finally succed, you only gain max. 2-3 mm of extra bore diameter.

Yes, that was assumed but you have a higher revving engine than a standard 350 even though the displacement is less.
