Hi! Great job! I like the two-tone paint schemes.
Would you be willing to share details about the finish on your tank?
For instance, in a couple of your pics, the fresh chrome finish looks matte...
How did you deal with the chrome and paint finishes?
Bruce.

Very nice.
I'm also interested in the spray on chrome.
I thought about having it done on a scrambler tank to save $ having it chromed and all the negatives that come with chroming an old tank.
Bruce asked a question regarding the shiny chrome, dull chrome etc. I would also like to know.

That's a beautiful rebuild; The extra bracket with 'R' clip between the exhaust header pipe and the front engine plate is neat and sensible. The standard Ducati exhaust pipe mounting is a bit marginal. Good luck with the racing!

Stunning!!! Thanks for sharing the build....amazing work!
I've never seen a fiberglass jellymould look so good as well, very cool metallic/chrome finish.

Re: 250 NC race bike build
The chrome is a spray finish with a standard clear coat. The pic of the tank fully chromed is how I got it back from the spray chrome specialty shop - it was not cheap.
The matte finish is my prep before adding color, I sanded the whole tank with 600 wet which made it look matte, then taped the stripes off and shot the red base coat (dries flat),
after that dried I added the gold pinstripes (automotive striping tape) and the decals. And the final job was one more clear coat.
Here's the shop I used for the chrome http://xtremechrome.com/

Stewart that bracket uses a quick release pin and is for the belly pan, there is also one for the rear. The pins are hollow and made from titanium - stuff I had laying around.

My mistake! I have looked again, but can't quite understand how the bracket works. A close up photo would be nice, if you've got the time.

Very nice work!
Some of my favorite details:
Good TIG welding on the frame additions, including some brazing on the SA clamps.
That's a lot of wet sanding on the polished alloy! Well done.
Nice shop setup!
Amazing chrome finish on your tank!
Super nice belly pan, your layup?
Drilled tank washers.
Polished stainless exhaust. Wow, how long did that take?
Thanks for sharing,
Stan
