Just a thought that has been knocking around the empty space between my ears.
Has anyone fitted an external catrige oil filter to the wee single? it would be nice to see any neat examples.
I fitted one to my BSA Victor years ago but that was a simple setup as I had the motor fitted into a B25SS oil in frame before I shoe horned in a 500 Triumph motor.

Re: Oil filter
Hi,
ca. 25 years ago I made an oil filter conversion according to an article from the british "Classic Mechanics" magazine on a friend's bike. I remember it being difficult to meet the oilways inside the timing cover; I managed this by drilling from the cover's inner side, in a specially prepared fixture. I have no personal experience on my own bike, because I didn't want to destroy the bike's pretty appearance with hoses, banjos and an ugly car-type, sheet-metal oilfilter. I fitted a K&N filter on the carb and changed oil every 1000 miles.

Re: Oil filter
Hi
the Condor ducati powered swiss bikes had a setup with an external oil filter. I will be interested as well to modify my oil pump cover to do so too...

Re: Oil filter
the Condor is not a full flow setup . only the oil to the cilinderhead gets filtered .
i pressed a few Condor crankshafts apart and cleaned the sludgetraps .
there was just as much sludge inside the trap as on engines without a filter .
i seen destroyed rockerarms and camshafts from engines someone fitted a external filter to .
if the internal pressure from the filter is higher as the pressure the bypass valve behind the oilpump plate opens at ( the little ball and spring ) al the oil get dumped and no oil is getting to the parts that need it .
when fitting a external filter i would weld up the little bypass hole it the pump backplate and have the plate ground flat again
