Paint Code Help

Postby thebossdj » Sat Mar 17, 2012 3:21 am

Hello fellow Ducati owners. This is my first post on here. I look forward to sharing info and asking for help. I am restoring a late 64 UK Daytona (Diana) and am looking for a paint code if someone has one. Hopefully one of you has the enamel version of this. The silver (code attached) that is going on the bike was given to me by Henry Hogben. He used this on Mach 1's etc. Here goes..

Dupont Nason Ful-Cryl 11
colour: Silver Met
Nason Number: B8320
MFG/Code/Year: GM/6W A77/ 8 83-84

Thanks for your help.

Cheers & Bevel Gears,

B.

Not much help, but if you're starting with nothing...

I have a friend in Florida that I haven't spoken with in a couple years and he restored a Diana and did his own paint.

Let me try and find his email address and I'll ask him. He is extremely great with his restorations.

Another small clue, from the BevelHeaven forum:
http://forum.bevelheaven.com/viewtopic. ... fisher#p13
" Ford Arctic Blue & Arctic Silver from the 80s are close
to older kingfisher colours. Use them as a starting point, then adjust
using tints to suit. "

Hi,

For the silver, the closest match i could find to the nos red and silver tank that I have is this one:
Dupont Spectramaster LM435 , this is from the older books, but any good paint shop should have it.
;)
