If you are still looking for a good suspension shop call Lindemans in San Jose Ca they do excellent work on vintage and current race bikes. They did a set of Betors for my 250 and they work great.

Re: new guy, race bike questions
I've found all of the parts to build a good set of 35mm zokes from a 350 widecase. I have them back together
(I lost one of the aluminum washers that holds the damper mechanism to the bottom of the fork leg, I need to find one or I may have a leak)
I'm looking for a good starting point for fork oil. I've seen everything from ATF to 90 weight gear oil.
I realize the oil is my only means of adjusting damping, Anybody have a starting point recommendation?
Fill level? or should I just go with 210cc ? (the reason I ask is that you can sometimes adjust damping by changing oil level)

Start with a 5W/10W Fork oil, and go from there. Adding more oil to the forks, does not change the damping, it just adds more spring rate to the forks, but too much will blow the seals.

OK thanks Harvey.
