Replace this during a rebuild?

Postby blaat! » Thu Oct 27, 2011 10:18 pm

I'm doing a complete and thorough rebuild of a 250 NC and I'm ready to heat the cases and replace all the bearings. On the clutch side crankcase half is a "lay shaft bearing seat". I can't seem locate any info on a replacement part or NOS part. The race seems clean. Any way to tell if it is still serviceable? Below is the part circled in the spare parts catalog.
Thanks!

Those are like impossible to find. you check it just like any other bearing assy. see how the gear, 7mm rollers (15 of them) and the race all fit together, and spin... I dont know of any specs, every one ive seen has either been junk (mostly from lack of oil, laying in pieces for countless years with the surface exposed) The others have looked perfect. I did look for one for a case I have that has a junk one, i have been looking for months... still havent found any. The rollers are available from lacey eng. and classic ducati. no one else seems to have those either...
Too many projects to list...
