Anybody know where to buy the thrust washers that go on either side of connecting rod big end inside the crankshaft flywheels to prevent axial play of the connecting rod? Do I need to have them fabricated? I need two at 1mm thickness. Thanks!

Re: 250 Narrow Case Crankshaft Thrust Washers
the original Ducati trustwasher is steel and is 32 / 45 / 1 mm size .
i have not been able to find a replacemend in the same size .
Pro X carries thrustwashers in differand sizes but you have to modify the inside or outside diameter .
part nr 03W.28451.0 is 28 / 45 / 1 mm so you have to enlarge the inside diameter it says silver in the catalog so i think
the washer is silverplated
part nr 03W.32501.0 is 32 /50 / 1 mm so you have to make to o.d diam smaller this washer is copper
Pro x part should be available at your local dirt bike shop . Pro x is part of the Dover PMI investmend group
that group carries brands like Wiseco , J/E and Carrillo

Re: 250 Narrow Case Crankshaft Thrust Washers
My long time favorite supplier for washers, shim, stampings, etc is Bokers in Minneapolis Mn. When I enteres 32x45x1 into their search engine I got:
It's approx 0.008" oversize OD, and 0.010" undersize ID- available in the right thickness range. I wouldn't worry about the small OD difference, and clamping a few of them together into a sandwich and running a reamer through them would size the ID. I'll be doing this myself over the winter- I'll probably order them a little fat and take them to a friend with a surface grinder to get the thickness I need. If you can wait I'll make you some, but it won't be until at least January or so.
I'm not sure if just a mild steel is the right material- they will make washers from a high carbon tool steel that can be hardened, but, with a hard washer something else will wear first, so I don't know if hard is good or not.
