G'day Graeme,
I assume that you have ordered the "Hall Effect CDI Ignition System" from Nigel? Link below:-
Hall-effect-cdi-ignition-system-p-1459
You should note the following in red print, below the image and details of the product package:-
That would appear to answer your question and confirm that a bit of closed cell foam and a couple of zip ties might have to serve temporary duties for the time being!
Unless you fancy a wee bit of sheet alloy (road sign material), or stainless steel, flexing and bending from your repetoire of precision and "bush engineering"?
Good health, Bill

Please note the new CDI unit in this kit does NOT have a mounting point and therefore when fitting the unit will need to be secured to the frame gusset in some way, probably via a large tie wrap. We are working with Electrex for a solution with a small bracket but this may take some time. If you have any questions regarding mounting the unit please contact us.

Re: Electrex World cdi box mounting
Hello Bill,
Ok I hadn’t seen that red note.
It’s not in the delivered paperwork.
I can sort a better solution than a cable tie.
Eldert,
I did notice the 2 cylinder marking on the CDI box.
Here is a pic of the kit I bought from Lacey Ducati.
It shows the same CDI box markings.
Regards
Graeme

Hi, I have used a very high bond (vhb) double sided adhesive pad… here is the link:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254491435473 ... media=COPY
If both surfaces are grease free it sticks like the proverbial to an army blanket….. the ‘gel’ of the material also provides some vibration damping!
Just a suggestion.
