450 kickstart lever

Postby IanHood » Thu Apr 18, 2024 9:04 am

Does anybody here have a 450 kickstart lever they want to dispose of (or know where I might find one). Kicking over my 450 with a shorter 250/350 lever is doing my (somewhat damaged) right knee no good at all.

E-bay item no. 375356320689 looks to be the 450 kickstart. Bit scruffy and a bit expensive though.

Thanks Jon, you are right, that does appear to a 450 version (and incorrectly described as 250/350) but you are also right in that it is very scruffy :(

Andy at The Bevel Side of Life has a brand new one for (I think) 220 eu, if you get desperate.

If you are looking at 'scruffy' used levers why not just weld a bit of length into your existing one? it won't look any worse and be a lot cheaper than people are asking for crappy used ones. A good coat of decent quality metallic silver paint and only the rivet counters will notice ;) Cheers, George

I'm fairly certain the Condor A350 also uses a longer kickstart, the same length as the 450. Maybe another source to investigate.

Yes, the Condor A350 does have the same length lever and amazingly, it’s possible to buy a brand new one but I think I’ll keep looking before paying £240.00 (plus import tax). :)
