This seems to have brought us back to my original question - are the Mototrans bikes that use the parallel twin frame smoother? It looks like the frame may play a part.

Jordan, It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with Stanley, he was so humble and down to earth about his never to be repeated achievements..... but his stories about his life were both educational and hilarious. He was a very astute business man and an expert in so many fields......he was a national treasure before the phrase was invented.
