There, you could use the air slide for altitude compensation.

I also have a 67 Mk3 NC but mine carburetes quite well. Funny enough, in the late 60’s I raced a Parilla Wildcat in motocross with the same carburetor and it was diabolical, 8 stroking rich in one direction, lean in the other. The remote float coupled with hard jarring and steep abrupt leaning confused it no end. Just be glad we use it in such a moderate application as we do on the street.
