Seeing as I had what I had, and NOS parts (and everything else for that matter) are sooo expensive, especially to do a legitimate restoration, this would sadly always be a "bitsa". But it did open up the "creative" door. With that in mind, I decided to a respectful interpretation, with modern electrics (Electrex 12-volt conversion, LED lighting, and MotoGadget M-unit and gauge), and use Mike Hailwood's prototype as esthetic inspiration.
And, this was taken on to "learn something" - and I sure did. Lots of fabrication (with hand tools: rear-sets, fairing supports, lighting, seat frame); sewing (seat); and stencil painting (rattle cans have come a long way...).
Enjoy, and thanks again for your help over the years. Shout-out to Nigel Lacey!
