Tyres for a 450 Scrambler.

Postby Rossguzzi » Thu Apr 15, 2021 7:33 am

I can't remember where I found some info that was posted on this, so I am asking here.
What tyres are people using that resembles the original ones?
Cheers.

The original tires were Pirelli MT53
The Duro copy is HF308

I have Dunlop K70’s on mine 3.5x19 front 4x18 rear

Hi Rossguzzi,

First I also thought to buy the Duro brand tyres from ducati vintage.
Now I will build up my Scrambler 350 with Heidenau K34 tyres. I like the he combination of a classic look and modern mix components.

So after much thought, I am thinking of putting tyres on like these in the picture. One brand is Continental TKC 80.
Anyone tried fitting these?

Hi Ross

you need a pretty tall tire otherwise you land up with a big gap between tire and the fender .

i put a Bridgestone TW 39 trailwing in the size 90 /100 19 on one of my scramblers

Many thanks.
I might have to look for a 100/100x90 front.
