The 7 September 1961 review in Motor Cycling is reproduced in the Ducati 1960-73 Gold Portfolio. I quote (including all the mis-placed capital letters of the original ... ;) :

"Businesslike High-performance Sports Model with Excellent Roadholding, Superb Brakes and Exceptional Finish"

And:
Highest one-way speed: 84mph (conditions: gusty side wind; 13½ stone rider wearing 2-piece suit).

P.s The forks WERE Marzocchi.

Would have cost you £250 12s 11d (incl purchase tax) from Vic Camp.

I don't believe the forks are from a Ducati as they have the look of the type fitted to other Italian lightweights during the 70/80s and have had the brake anchor bosses removed I assume to enable the use of a double sided brake.
