MK3 warning light watts?

Bought some 6 volt 1.2 watt warning lamp bulbs but they blow as soon as powered up.
What is the correct wattage for these bulbs?
They work fine in the instruments.

They can't blow due to a to low power rating (= wattage), but they do either if exposed to more than 7 Volt, or due to an inferior production quality. Afaik, also 6 Volt LED bulbs are available, which should do a better job. I remember a thread here where a source was mentioned.
The w/c parts catalog quotes 3 Watt.
