I have a 750 Ducati twin that needs a new petcock and fuel lines. The Guzzino petcock #DOM83308FV matches what I am replacing, but it says it has a 7mm hose fitting. When I look at new hose to buy, they offer no 7mm hose, rather they have 6 and 8mm hose for sale.
I presume the hose sizes refer to the ID of the hose, but that's my question. Is it the ID of the hose that the their numbers refer to? Does anyone know the answer? I'll shoot them an email, but I am in sort of a hurry.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
It says on their listing, 5x8mm 6x10mm 8x11mm that's inside and outside diameters, you need the 6x10mm for the 7mm pet cock. Or at least that is what I use on the singles.
Cheers,
George

Re: Guzzino petcocks and fuel lines
Jim,
I use yellow Tigon fuel lines on my bikes it’s commonly available at auto parts stores and lawnmower shops. It works well and doesn’t harden much over time unlike that blue-green fuel line I’ve used in the past which became hard as a rock in a matter of a few months.

Jim,
the Cavis Benz fuel line https://store.bevelheaven.com/Dellorto/Fuel-Hose-7-x-12-Cavis-Benz/ is the original type, it should be used for your round case twin.
The Tygon line https://www.processsystems.saint-gobain.com/products/tygon-lp-1100-flexible-fuel-tubing might be more robust and long-living, but I personally don't like the yellow colour.
cheers Hans

Re: Guzzino petcocks and fuel lines
Thanks for the advice guys. I placed my order with Guzzino and their green 6x10 fuel line did indeed fit the 7mm petcock.
