Hi After some help again please. On my front wheel hub diagram there is a felt cover washer 23x42x4 and a bearing protector washer dimensions not given.
Has any one got the dimensions for the cover washer and also replaced a felt washer recently. Thanks I am in the Uk and the bike is a 450 Jupiter.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Front wheel Axle
Hi Mike,
If I recall correctly the felt washer and bearing protector washer date back to the days of unsealed bearings.
I think that with today's sealed bearings these washer parts are no longer required.
If you have replaced your bearings with sealed ones you may not need the parts you are writing about. I am hoping someone else can confirm this.

Glad you said it, Jim, 'cos that's what I seem to remember too, without entirely trusting my memory ...
.
Anyone else able to confirm/deny?

I also don't remember enough to be confident.
If installing sealed bearings, and it's contemplated to remove a redundant steel washer, its thickness may have to be taken into account?
I can't help by referring to my brake, as it's an unusual 4LS type.

Re: Front wheel Axle
Thanks for your help guys after changing to sealed bearings and re- assembling I have needed to put a 4mm spacer in between the right fork leg and the hub. It all seems to be true and aligned so let's how it works.
Thanks again
