That is a Mototrans frame?
Although different from mine, it has similar (lack of) clearance for the hose.
But, evidently it was able to be straightened.
I'm thinking it could be important for the hose to be attached higher up the frame than it appears on yours.
Is there excessive oil escaping from the end of the pipe?
On Ducati singles that don't have one-way breathers into air filters, the hose was run out of the engine, and made an arc that went quite high before coming back and down at the rear of the mudguard.
The height would allow gravity to help contain oil, I think.

Yep, Mototrans frame - the bike's a Vento.
Hadn't really thought about the height of the pipe - you know, the bike comes as it comes, and you don't always question everything.
Jon will know - hopefully he'll come along soon.

Now just waiting on a delivery of bits from Spain.....
Is there a good parts vendor in Spain?
Would be especially nice if parcel postage rates to Les États-Unis were more favorable than Italian
rates.

I guess I'd say that my experience of buying stuff out of Spain has been ok. Sure, you need to be careful when buying second-hand stuff 'cos the quality can be ... variable

As to this particular supplier, I haven't tried him before. So far, all has gone well. But I'll do a fuller report back in due course.
For postal rates to los Estados Unidos, check out here:

P.s In fact the only suplier who's p**sed me off recently has been Stein Dinse who sent me a non-matching 'pair' of tank badges and when I politely pointed this out to them - complete with photos to make it obvious - basically said they didn't give a rat's arse.

Greetings
As far as breather hose goes. I've found it better to go to any place selling 90 degree hose joiners (I'm old school and went for brass) and cut the breather hose approx 50mm from the crankcase outlet. Insert 90 degree bend into your cut and attach the rest of your required length breather hose. This ensures you get no hose kinking and risk blowing crankcase seals. I run my breather hose up high on the frame behind the sidecover into a container I made out of aluminium tube which takes a lawnmower aircleaner. Cheap and effective but hardly original if you are that way inclined.
