tweaky beast
Hi to all. I know my bike is not really a Ducati but it has got a 160 Monza engine, i thought it would look nice. The bike was built using s/h parts in 1965 with a Triumph Tigress 250 scooter engine, a magazine feature calls it a old MZ racing frame and it was registered as a Sunbeam! I am rebuilding it but need a crank/conrod and maybe a head. I have spent 16 years tracing the history of it with only a gap between 69 to 73 ish. It may be a bit long to post on here ! I intend to sprint and hillclimb it with a little tuning. ( Kawasaki piston etc).

Re: tweaky beast
The frame design is as Norton.

Early (around 1950) Norton "Featherbed" frames had bolt-on rear subframes, like this interesting special.

The frame is 2/3 scale to a Feather Bed. It is made of 24mm tubing which was not used in England at this time. In 1963/4 it seems to have been owned by John Griffiths (leading light in the VMCC) who sold it to the builder Bert Milnes .

Nice fix on the front down tubes.

Was the deformation caused by an accident, or a PO's better idea?

Re: tweaky beast
Looks like it has a lot of possibilities. Keep us updated on the build.
