Headlight Switch

Just working through some electrical problems and the Aprilia light switch in the headlight she'll is not making a connection. There is a sliding plate which you can pull forward and then it works but the plate slips back. Has nyone solved this or is ther a good alternative switch? Thanks the bike is a 450 Jupiter.

I sorted this the copper plate had been fitted the wrong way round so the connection didn't make. On to the next wiring issue !
