Where to sell your bike??

Postby boat#548 » Sat Mar 28, 2015 9:04 am

[size=85]Hello all
Go easy on me Im a nubie here and trying to figure where people sell their old bikes. I saw that there was place for parts/wanted items and a fourm to sell bikes. But what I had noticed was all the dates on the post were old. Am I looking at the listings wrong? :? I have a coulpe of old bikes that Im wanting to sell and could use some infomation about how and where to go about it. a (web site,Ebay,yard sale.etc) One is a 1963 250cc.Monza. These bikes are not show pieces and have been painted several times in past but mostly orginial with some shed abuse. Mechanically their in really good shape with low miles and titles. Ive got one that generaly starts on the first or second kick from a cold start! Wondering if its best to sell a bike and let someone restore it to the degree that they want? or have a professinal custom paint job to my liking? wich sells best? have access to a pro painter that owe's me one :) so my expenses would be a min. also if you have any opinions on how I should price this bike(hard to do without photo's) or what its worth would greatly be appreciated[. I will gladly send pictures. being that I can't seem to upload any img.

thanks All

well first off , I would say don't sell them ride them. :D
but if you insist, post some pictures here and we can identify what they are and possibly a value range.
if you look on the top of the forum page you will see a post called "how to upload a photo"
There may be someone on here interested in buying, it doesn't hurt to ask. most likely the other members
are like me and already have more bikes then they can afford, it is a sickness.
Craigslist is probably the way to go. I've sold a few bikes on there. I do several adds on the closest cities to me,
Cincinnati, Columbus, Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis. Beware of scammers, if someone sends you a message
and it sounds like a robot wrote it or has very bad English, it's probably a scam, or if the message is very vague, like "I'm interested in your item, please give me your number"
don't
good luck

I second Tony's question. I am looking for a Monza that is complete. I think this is a great site to sell on...
