Clipon versus handlebars

Anyone got a 2-stroke out there with clipons that can do some measuring for me ? I am trying to put some clipons on a Falcon 50/Sport 48 that has handlebars. I do not have a parts book for the Clipon style bikes, so it is not clear the front shock ears/covers are different for clipons versus handlebar set ups. any ideas ?
